Harnessing unique expertise and capability of organic and inorganic materials synthesis, the overarching research theme of Professor Lu's functional nanomaterial lab is to rationally design, synthesize and fabricate high-performance transducer material platforms based on the unique properties of nanomaterials and/or novel polymers. The ability of converting one type of energy into another offered by these transducer materials is the subject of fundamental scientific investigation and will enable a wide variety of applications in life science, green energy and artificial intelligence.
